DISGUSTING!!!

There's this really ANNOYING chick that's always in ALL of my sociology classes. If you've ever taken a soc class with me, you'd know who I'm talking about. There's not a person in the class that would overlook her presence, cuz her incessant chatter certainly makes up for it. Yet it's not so much the stupid questions she asks that makes her so intolerable... it's the way she tries to be this great spokeswoman for all minorities. Her last name is Gomez, which I guess, by default, allows her to be in the bracket labeled as "minorities." (She's really half white, raised by her white mother.) However, she tends to generalize on behalf of ALL minorities. PROBLEM: WE'RE NOT ALL THE SAME!!! She once even tries to EXPLAIN to our class that all Chinese-Americans were descendents of workers in the laundry industry. Says her, "We should applaud their efforts for chasing after the American dream... just like other immigrants." Uhhh... right. (Really, it was so disgusting I wrote it in my notes!)

Well, today, she was at it again. She was on some silly soapbox preaching to the class about how important teachers are to "ghetto school districts." (Righto.... the first problem is YOU referring to the district as "ghetto".) She further made a comment about dirty learning environments and their effects on a student's ability to concentrate. After she finished talking, I was secretly sending her "SHUT-UP!" vibes and guess what I see!!! Ms. Righteous takes out her gum and ever-so-discreetly, stuck her gum under her desk!!!! What is this??? 6th grade? Especially AFTER her tirade about keeping schools clean??? Ew.
